Active Living Physio is a small-to-medium sized, owner-operated Physiotherapy Clinic in Campbell River on Vancouver Island’s east coast. Like our name, we inspire and support people of all ages to keep active living as we believe this is the key to health and well-being. We are Campbell River’s “go-to” physio clinic and have recently been voted “The Best Physio Clinic” and one of the “Best Places to Work” by our community. We have a strong physician referral base that we’ve developed over the years by open physician-physio communication and collaboration. We offer one-on-one, hands-on physiotherapy with a focus on active rehab, manual therapy, and patient education and empowerment. We do not rely on modalities or a rehab-assistant model of care. Our team of physios have special interests in dry needling, manual therapy, pelvic health, vestibular rehab, ACL rehab, bike fitting and video gait analysis. We have kinesiologists on site and an orthopaedic surgeon next door who we collaborate with on a regular basis. Our kins teach a variety of small group classes including fall and osteoporosis prevention, GLAD (arthritis), basic core and functional strength, hydrotherapy, nordic walking, learn to run, Parkinson's, among others. Active Living Physio is a supportive, fun place to be! We hold regular ‘team huddles’ and clinical in-services. We collaborate with our colleagues in the clinic on a regular basis as well as other various social adventures outside of work. Campbell River has so much to offer: skiing in the winter at Mount Washington, and year-round hiking, water sports (lake and ocean), mountain biking, running, you name it! Trails are in town. Our clinic is across the street from the ocean and we enjoy the view everyday. |

The goal of the Clinic is to improve the functional outcomes of Home Health clients by improving their physical function, reducing falls risk, and preventing or delaying hospitalizations. The Clinic provides client-centred and goal-oriented assessments and treatments, using standardized outcome measures to track progress. Clients will have the opportunity to work on an individualized exercise program, and/ or a group exercise program with a Physiotherapy or Rehabilitation Assistant student, under the supervision of a Physiotherapist. |
